Stephen Binos hails from Adamawa state, North-eastern Nigeria. He started his artistic journey as a painter at the Ahmadu Bello University, home to the most popular art movement in Nigeria. He obtained a bachelors in Fine Art there, and then proceeded to The University of Glamorgan, South Wales where he obtained a Masters in Art Practice. He has participated in various local and foreign group exhibitions.
Stephen mostly works with oil on canvas, but he has dabbled in other mediums and material approaches. His compositions narrate specific oral histories, but at other times, he welcomes multiple readings of his work.
Stephen Binos lives and works as an artist in Abuja, Nigeria.
